Can I use Tippex on an LPA?
Last updated 22 August 2026
No. Tippex, correction fluid, stickers and pencil are not permitted on an LPA. The OPG will not register a form altered this way, and the whole document must be re-executed on a clean copy.
What counts as a prohibited correction
Tippex, correction fluid, correction tape, stickers, and pencil are all prohibited. The OPG rejects forms corrected with any of these. If you need to correct something, cross it out with a single line, write the correction clearly, and have all parties to that section initial the change before the donor signs.
Corrections after the donor signs
No changes may be made after the donor has signed. Any alteration after the donor's signature invalidates the document, and the whole form must be re-executed from scratch.
Initialling corrections
If you make a correction before signing, all parties to that section must initial the change. If a correction is found after signing and was not initialled, the section may need to be re-executed.
